What We’re Doing
Charity is Love is standing in the gap to help feed those in need when they cannot get a hot meal at a soup kitchen or long-term shelter. With the help of volunteers, we prepare and distribute over 250 bagged meals, clothing and other essential items for the homeless.
In 2019, the City of Dallas reported there were 3,722 persons who were experiencing some form of homelessness. Approximately 1,153 people (31%) were living unsheltered. With the current state of the U.S. economy that number is expected to rise in 2020.
Our goal is to coordinate and work with other organizations so we can make a serious impact in fighting homelessness and getting people off the streets.

About Our Organization
Our Mission
Charity is Love is a faith-based organization providing healthy and nutritious meals to the poor and homeless in the North Texas area, while offering essential services through our programs and partner agencies.
We will serve each person in the spirit of love and hospitality believing in the Word of God…1 Corinthians 13:13 – “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
Our Vision
Charity is Love’s primary responsibility is to provide a safe and uplifting environment for those in need of food and fellowship while adhering to the Dietary Law as outlined in (Leviticus 11th chapter). We serve the homeless, the working poor, the unemployed and their families. In short, we help people who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in crisis.
GIVE A MEAL FOR $2.50
Since April 2020, we have served over 500 meals at a cost of $2.50 per bag.

Our Top Priority
As Covid-19 continues to spread, our brothers and sisters face difficulty in receiving essential services and even a good healthy meal. As food prices rise and food banks struggle to stay afloat, more individuals will need help. Our top priority is to provide a nourishing meal for those in need and as Servants of God it is our duty to take care of His people.
“For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.” – Deuteronomy 15:11

Join us on the highways and hedges
We invite you to serve alongside us on the streets of South Dallas for a humbling experience with the homeless men and women. We meet monthly on Sunday mornings and branch out to different areas in the city where they may congregate.
We try to share God’s Word and we do not judge the reality of those less fortunate – we just feed people and we invite you to serve with us.
